Hello from Canada!

Hi all,
My name is Sandina and I'm from Toronto, Canada. I kept hearing about this forum and finally decided to take a look, and I'm excited to see what it brings and the people I will be able to interact with!
I come from a background of Buddhism and New Age, which means I've had almost no concept of God growing up, aside from some sort of neutral energy source. I always had a soul-searching kind of personality (I assume, like most of us here) and when I was about 19-20, I let go of Buddhism and dabbled in New Age philosophies, which not only didn't answer my questions, but added to my facade and supported some very unloving behavior and attitudes. It was my mother who had introduced me to Devine Truth about 4.5 years ago, and she quite quickly dropped it as soon as she realized it wasn't New Age, but I am very happy she shared it with me first!
When I first discovered Jesus and Mary's teachings of Devine Truth, I was very excited and for about a 2yrs or so I was "trying" to follow it. Then I gave up entirely and spent 2 years in complete addiction. Drinking, projecting at everyone, and having no intention of growing in love at all. A recent separation with my partner (and my growing pain) inspired me to start listening to the Divine Truth teachings again, and it was the best decision I've made in years (maybe ever). I do feel that my desire for truth is growing, and it feels different this time around. I hope I will continue with sincerity.
Thanks Nicky, for this amazing opportunity.
