An Explanation Of The Forum Groupings

Post by Nicky » Thu Aug 06, 2015 12:23 pm

Hi Guys

I thought it would be a good idea to let you know how the forum groups work.

Administrator - The site leader who is responsible for maintaining the condition of love within the forum. The administrator has access to many tools including creating forums, managing forums, setting forum permissions, issuing strikes, temporary and permanent bans, deleting posts, locking topics, moving topics, merging topics, splitting topics, etc. The admin has access to a forum category created for the purpose of discussing the running of the site which is not visible to registered users, newly registered users, muted users & guests.

Teacher - Divine Truth teachers namely Jesus & Mary. They have access to ALL forum categories and many forum features have been granted to them. I have decided to do this so that they can express themselves freely when they stop by due to the very limited time that they have on their hands. This will be beneficial to every member on the forum as their insight on any particular topic or area will be priceless and I would not want anything getting in the way of that. These guys also have access to a forum category created for the purpose of discussing the running of the site which is not visible to registered users, newly registered users, muted users & guests. This is so that feedback and guidance on the running of the site can easily be discussed with the admin and moderators.

Global Moderators - These guys have been selected to ensure that the content posted by everyone on the forum adheres to the forum terms of use. Moderators can delete posts, lock topics, move topics, split topics, merge topics, etc. The moderators have access to a forum category created for the purpose of discussing the running of the site which is not visible to registered users, newly registered users, muted users & guests.

Registered Users - These are people who have made 10 or more posts on the forum. Once you fall into this group, many other forum features are granted which include private messaging, the ability to post in more forum categories, adding attachments to your posts etc.

Newly Registered Users - These are people who have made fewer than 10 posts on the forum. Basic forum permissions are granted initially to allow new users the chance to get to grips with the forum, its terms of use and general functionality. I ask that you do not just make basic, quick posts to get yourself to 10 posts in a short space of time. This will be very obvious to all forum members and shows a lack of sincerity straight away. If you are found to do this, it will result in an AMBER strike. These guys will not be able to add attachments to their posts but can still share images if they upload an image via a hosting site online - please see the guide specifically created to show you how this can be done.

Muted - These are people who have received three amber strikes. Due to their unloving behaviour, they have lost the privilege of contributing directly however they can still view all topics and posts. If somebody who is muted feels that they have worked through the reasons why they were given strikes, they can send an appeal via email to nicky@divinetruthhub.com for consideration.

Banned - These are people who have received a RED STRIKE for very unloving behaviour. Because of this, they have lost the privilege of not only contributing directly, but also cannot view any topics and posts. I send a direct personal email to anyone who is banned informing them of the decision and the reasons why, as well as informing them that they can send still engage in the forum in the future if they work through their emotions and desire to come back.

On Probation - Somebody who has previously been banned or muted and posting privileges have been returned to them following a successful appeal where the admin has felt that the individual has addressed the issue that the initial disciplinary action was taken against them. Being in this group is NOT determined by any set time frame OR post count, but based on the feeling/nature/intention behind the posts upon their return. If such individual engages in the same behaviour that they were initially striked off the forum for, posting rights will be instantly removed from their profile for a second time with NO OTHER WARNINGS/STRIKES BEING ISSUED. If said individual engages in a separate addiction/injury to the one they had been struck off for originally, then they will not be "penalised" by their probation status and normal forum rules will apply on that particular issue (unless of course they engage in behaviour deemed a red strike action to which their posting privileges again will be instantly removed).

Guests - These guys are people who have not gone through the forum registration process and can freely browse the forum without having the ability to create topics and posts.

Thanks everyone

Nicky
