This is a playlist I made of the Carmina Burana. It contains two film versions of the hour long piece by Carl Orff. It was made in the early part of the 20th century, based on medieval poems and texts by monks. The majority is in Latin and some ancient German and bastardized languages, but the music is really quite emotional. It deals with all kinds of edges of life, but for a large part it is about longing and romantic love. It has helped me to connect to feelings of soulmate longing.
