I love Middle Eastern music.
One musician I find really amazing is Sami Yusuf from Iran. Hi sings in persian, arabic and english. I feel his music has power to open up my heart and soul to feel the longing for Gods Love.

If anyone else likes this kind of music it might be great to check it out.

When I listen to it and direct my own feelings to God, I feel it connects me quite strong to my own longing for God, and then I feel the connection.

I'm so exhighted....I have just started to discover in songs I've heard many times, like a hidden message in it which I did not notice before. Now when I use songs to open my heart to God, for example songs I viewed as love songs can suddenly "swich on the power" when I engage in the song with my feelings and direct it towards God.

I feel it's like a treasure hunt to go through songs that have touched me some way in the past and have a closer look at them now and, wow....some of them just reveals a prayer that I can connect to.

I find it extra powerful when I sing along....or even just singing when I know the lyrics by heart.

At first I felt a bit silly and embarressed writing this, like maybe it was obvious and I just did not get it (I can be a bit slow at getting the point, and then I feel a bit stupid...), or that I am just imagining things. But what does it matter if it works for me?...I felt it was a thing worth sharing. It might help others open up in new ways through music that touched them in the past as well. Or in other ways I have no idea of.
