In this thread you can list movies that brought up emotions relating to parental relationships, or that highlighted strong themes about what it feels like to be parented in a certain way or by certain people.

"Once upon a time there was a girl who was being torn apart. In between the homes, she learned not to trust. To always have her guard up."

"These are powerful, short films (12 & 22 minutes) about a young girl in the U.S. foster care system, told from her point of view. These films are so compassionate and sensitive to the child's emotions, I found them very moving even though I don't share the girl's life experiences."

They were made as a training tool for people working in the foster care system.

"OH MY GOSH - This film is so so so incredible to trigger parental emotions, Courtney recommended it to me and for me its a pivotal film in my growth. I know I will watch it again and again. Basic plot 2 families, one rich one poor find out when their sons are 6 that they may not have the right biological sons due to a hospital error."
