Re: Healing the shame that binds us... PDF Book copy

Hi Catherine,

I started reading it and would recommended it to anyone who has the interest.

The PDF copy however is not the full book, but if you are in the states www.half.ebay.com is a great place to get used books.

Re: Hello!

Yeah, curious. I've struggled with food addiction and mildly swing back and forth between losing weight and gaining weight, depending on the circumstance/country i'm in.

Re: Rebellion and Resistance to God's Way

Wow, this is really helpful and I want to highlight it: In that video (Courtney) sent (fast-forwarded min 25:--) AJ specifically talks about two kinds of resistances to feeling: 1. resistances that are stories that we feed ourselves so that we can avoid feeling things that are painful (for example: ...

Re: Rebellion and Resistance to God's Way

Hi again, I'm really excited and have much more energy flowing now. I was rebelling and resisting God's way through wanting to be confused and in doubt rather than wanting to feel and attempt the relationship with God. Under my post in Depression Since Childhood in the Assistance section (i'm not su...

Re: Depression since Childhood

Hi Guys, I believe I received the answer to my own question: The answer is mostly about me needing to develop a willingness to feel all of my painful emotions as they arise. The issue with me is that whenever I feel bad, I attack myself and tell myself I have anger that is bad and I need to release ...

Re: Hello!

Can you tell me what those books were? especially the books that told you to begin feeling all the emotions that you've been avoiding.

Re: Hello!

Thank you for this. This is beautiful. The part where you talk about feeling angry at God is really helpful. I feel i'm at this stage where I'm actually angry at God and feeling really betrayed and hurt but I won't dare to be angry at God. There's probably just too much grief beneath it, which is al...

Re: Rebellion and Resistance to God's Way

Hi Courtney, Thanks for the super quick reply. 1. What you are saying sounds like what I have been guessing. Like what Maureen asked, once you realized it was okay to feel/be angry what did you actually start doing differently in order to release some of that anger? What kind of therapist did you se...

Re: Depression since Childhood

I found this video just now, minutes after posting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_w9bZM_Q914 which largely talks about going below the anger rather than staying in a seething place which is probably where I am. However, how would I go about connecting to authentic anger/hatred/rage etc. and/or th...

Depression since Childhood

Hi Everyone, I am coming to terms with the fact that I've been depressed to a degree ever since my childhood. My father passed when I was 7 and I'm sure I began to be depressed since before that. At the age of 11 I had a very high sense of responsibility and people often commented about how mature I...
